Port of Tauranga has formed a 50/50 joint venture with Tainui Group Holdings to establish an inland port at the Ruakura Superhub near Hamilton. The Ruakura Inland Port opened in September 2023 and will be linked by rail to the Tauranga Container Terminal.

1,600 amp main switchboard
3 x 35 meter lighting tower
16 x Reefer pillar boxes
Street lighting
From the MSB’s the power is distributed in underground ducts around the site to the 16 Reefer pillar boxes that power the refrigerated containers. All distribution boards are manufactured from NHP modular metalwork with NHP distribution componentry.
